Windshield wiper issue - 2003 Mercury Sable? One wiper (the driver's side, of course) has stopped working all together. Everywhere I search, it tells me to check the fuses. Is it possible that the wipers have two different fuses??? I'm guessing it is not the motor since one wiper still works. I have also tried tightening the bolt that holds the arm on, but this didn't help. Any suggestions? I don't even know where to find the fuses. Any info will be greatly appreciated as it is Sunday and I doubt I will find anyone to fix it today. Also it is starting to snow so wipers are a must. Thanks! If one wiper arm operates when you turn on the switch your problem has nothing to do with fuses. With the wipers turned off grasp the suspect wiper arm and attempt to move it through it's normal stroke. If you can easily move the wiper arm it may be stripped out. Tightening the fastener will not help this situation. It will need to be replaced. Remove the wiper arm completely and then turn on the wipers. Observe the suspect wiper drive stud...is it moving? If it does, try to grasp it with a pliers...you should not be able to stop it with moderate effort. If you can stop it or it does not move at all there is a problem with the mechanical wiper linkage inside the cowl. You'll need a competent mechanic to repair that.

Tip for Installing a New Mustang Hood

1. The first thing you’ll need to do is pop the hood of your Mustang. In most cases, you’ll find the hood release beneath the steering wheel along the bottom of the console. Pull the release and you’re ready to get going.
2. Now lift the hood of you car and locate the hood latches. They will be on both sides of the hood close to the windshield. You will need socket wrenches to remove the bolts that keep the latches in place.
3. Once you’ve removed the bolts, the hood is ready to come off. You will most likely need to enlist the help of a friend to lift the old hood up and off of your car. Once you’ve set the old hood aside, it’s time to install the new one.
4. Again, you’ll need a friend to help you lift the new hood up and onto your car. Then you will need to line the hood up with the mounting holes.
5. Then you will need to reinstall the mounting bolts that you unscrewed with the previous hood. Tighten them with a socket wrench and make sure that the hood latches correctly when you close it.
