Wakeboard Boat

Can I pull a tube/waterski/wakeboard with this boat? I have a 1974 Fiberform boat that I would like to wake board behind and pull a tube. The engine is an outboard 115 Mercury. I would like to pull a tube with 3 people on it and 3 people in the boat. The average weight of these people is about 165. Will I be able to do this? No. You will need much more horsepower. That's a 35 year old boat and it's probably very heavy, even without the motor. It is rated for a specific number of passengers and a maximum load weight. You are talking about a load weight of about 1,000 pounds, or half a ton, of human weight alone. You have to factor in the weight of coolers, food, and other items. If you have too many riders on the tube, the Water Patrol will write you a ticket with a $ sign and so many numbers behind it that you will never be able to pay it off. I was an eyewitness to something similar and that was one mad officer. Check your owners manual and state marine laws to be sure you are in compliance.
