The 2009 Bayliner 197 Deckboat

People who are looking for a cheaper runaround boat for the family should check out the 197 Deckboat from Bayliner.

Starting at $21,112 the 197 is easy on the wallet but still a lot of fun. This boat was designed for family fun it has a large sun lounge and built in ski and wakeboard storage in the cockpit. A removable table makes it possible for the family to enjoy a picnic on the water while taking a break from a day of skiing. If the family wants to hear some tunes, the built in AM/FM stereo is completely waterproof but its satellite ready and has inputs for MP3 players.

A padded steering wheel on the helm makes this boat easy and comfortable to pilot. Power trim and tilt makes the boat glide effortlessly over the water. A full instrumentation package enables the driver to keep tabs on the engine. There's also an ignition safety switch so mom and dad don't have to worry about the kids fooling with the boat during a day of family fun.

Those who want more power can upgrade to a 4.3 liter MerCruiser Alpha I with 190 horsepower that's carbon compliant for just $3,521 extra. For $5,914 boaters can get a carbon compliant 4.3 liter MerCruiser Alpha I with 220 Horsepower.

Some really great factory installed options are available for the 197 Deck Boat including:

• A wireless trolling motor for the fisherman for $650.
• A digital depth indicator for $307.
• A transom shower for $400.
• A forward Bimini canvas top for $514.
• An  aft bimini canvas top for $614
• An extended transom platform for $764.

Three really good packages of options are also available for the 197 Deck Boat; the Family Fun Option, the Flight Series Option and the Fish Pack Option. The $686 Family Fun option features an aft canvas bimini top, color choice, a deck gel stripe and a steering wheel upgrade.
