What automatic transmission will fit a 1974 Ford 400 big block?

My husband is building a ratrod, and he needs to know what year/model car or truck auto trans would fit.

Any suggestions on how to install a stereo in my boat?

I'd prefer not to drill big holes in the boat for the stereo and speakers. What have others done? I was thinking about some type of bracket under the dash, but not sure where to put the speakers. Its a 17' bowrider
