97 chevy 7.4 won"t start? how can i test for code problem?
code reads p1351 high voltage on the ignition coil control circuit- what causes this? pcm or ignition coil ?
all senors are working-recieving& sending signals-have timing pulse @ignition module from computer on white wire - have pulse on ignition mod to ign. coil- have fire at plugs-took air plentum off & have injection of fuel- crankshaft position senor is working
& camshaft postion sensor is working- raised #1 piston &checked distributor all is good- my scaner reads P1351 high voltage on ign. coil control circuit which is controled by pcm it supplys all senors with 11 - 12 volts scaner also reads this code as manufacturer control ignition system or misfire. also I had a problem with the a/c compressor not responding at all - wiring was dead fuses are all good- think maybe its time to check pcm - if its a timing problem its in the pcm and maybe why the a/c wont respond
Ok, code P1351 is for the timing control. there is a problem either with the white wire between the ignition control module and power control module, or the ignition control module itself, or the power control module. it only controls timing. it will run without this signal. I would check this code out first, this may being causing the P0300 misfire code. take a good look at the two wire connector at the ignition module. see quite of few of these that the wire will break inside the insulation. you will need to pull on this wire a little and see if tears apart.
