UK Military Help Plz?

I'm joining the forces after University as an officer, but i don't know with who.
I know i am either going to be in the area of infantry or in the area of pilot but i might stray from these paths eg Observer, Sniper etc.

I feel like I am in a strip club and i have to choose between sexy triplets for a lap dance.

So which is better

1) Pilot in RAF, FAA, AAC ( who gets deployed the most)
2) Royal Marines, Paras, RAF Reg (do Raf reg just guard airfields)
3) Lifestyle eg Navy get to dock an sail the world
4) Opportunities/Diversification ( I heard RMarines very diverse)
5) Who has the best bases and travel opportunities (on duty)
( i fancy going to the jungle)

Please only answer if you have experience. Because if you don't the truth of the matter is i prob know more about it than you!

I am in the RAF Regiment and the moment, and let me say two things before I rant on with advice.

1. We hate people that say "Raf reg just guard airfields". Yes we gaurd airfields, we also guard royals, are involved in front line fighting, take and hold other air fields, provide support for the SAS and only a few months ago we saved a few RM when they were ambushed.

2. "I fancy going to the jungle" - Then go on holiday to the amazon. Join any military branch with the attitude of what you 'fancy doing' and you'll be worse than a waste of space. I've been to Belize and let me tell you, you wouldn't fancy a tour there.

Right on to helping you. Turn off Rambo, turn off Ultimate Force, turn off any TV Armed Forces crap you've been watching. The Armed Forces isn't a game or something to be taken lightly. Lives are lost every day, it's serious. If you wan't to join ask yourself if you really are made for it.

You mentioned sniper, do you want to shoot people from 2km away? Sounds fun doesn't it. Reality is you'll lie in the same spot for 2 weeks, whatever the weather, barely moving. You'll watch the enemy, report what he does, then most likely leave without firing a shot. On the odd occasion you do fire a shot, it won't look 'cool' or like the movies becuase you're sniper round will take off any limb you hit or blow a hole the size of your fist in the body. It does not look 'cool'.

In all honesty I wouldn't want you next to me in the moment. You seem about 13 years old. You compare the Armed Forces to a strip club, you show you have no idea and you think it'll be some sort of laugh. I really think you should get a job in the office and stick to playing the games. Don't like what I've said, mail me and we can go into more detail.

Travel Sausalito

Sausalito is located in the north San Francisco Bay area just across the Golden Gate Bridge. When you first visit this waterfront town you feel like you have walked into a Mediterranean painting. You will find fine restaurants and hotels throughout the town. The homes are nestled into the hills overlooking the water with the San Francisco skyline across the bay.A mixture of maritime commercial traffic always seems to be present.  Along with this are the pleasure crafts gracefully gliding past this picture perfect town.
Shops, galleries, restaurants, and hotels are located within easy walking distance of the town center.  If you opt to shop, Sausalito is a great place to shop. You have such a variety of stores to choose from. The perfect crystal gift can be found as well as custom designed European clothing. Children's toys or a gourmet boutique are within reach. If the weather cools you can find a sweater to take off the chill. You will find jewelry for all discriminating tastes along with stylish art galleries.
If you are not on a shopping spree but just strolling, cafes are nearby when you need a break or try something sweet like salt water taffy. Sit back, enjoy your coffee, listen to the sounds of the bay, and enjoy the stunning scenery as you watch the ferry arrive.
Auto ferry service across the Golden Gate was established in 1926. It sailed to the Hyde Street Pier in San Francisco. This ferry system was part of old highway 101, linking the towns together across the Golden Gate until the bridge was finished in 1937. Today's ferry system plays an integral part in our plans for day trips to San Francisco as we continue our journey.
The natural scenery around Sausalito and Marin County is eye-catching, but when you add the marinas and houseboats, it then becomes a shutterbugs dream.
You can start your sightseeing and picture taking tour by walking the dock walk. Begin at the El Portal ferry dock and go north through the park to the start of your dock walk. The moorings and docks in the Richardson Harbor are filled with pleasure crafts of all sizes and shapes - from the older classic to the more modern. Mixed in with this are the colorful fishing boats.
To reach the houseboat community you need to go farther. If you prefer you can drive up Bridgeway by car and you will see the floating neighborhoods on your right along the bay. Sausalito’s houseboats are colorful, each with their own unique features. The houseboats have become very desirable real estate because of their original style and wonderful water views.
If you want to tour some of these elaborate homes, they have an annual Sausalito Floating Home Tour. You can check with the Sausalito Chamber of Commerce for dates and times.
Try not to pass up a ferryboat ride to San Francisco from Sausalito and a day of sightseeing and shopping. The ferry dock is located on El Portal. There is a large parking area for commuters for you to use if you are not staying within walking distance.
The trip across the bay is very scenic so a camera is a must. You will pass Alcatraz Island - the home of the famous Alcatraz prison. It has a natural isolation with cold water and strong sea currents that held the prisoners of the past. The Island has a fascinating history worth looking into. There are tours around the Island to provide you with more information.
The bay weather is changeable so dress like the locals. Dress in layers. Wind, fog and rain can change temperatures quickly. We have seen Sausalito under sunny skies and watched the fog roll in over San Francisco.
The ferry disembarks at the San Francisco Ferry building. You can walk over to Fisherman’s Wharf. The Wharf and the surrounding area are great places for shoppers. You have Pier 39, Ghirardelli Square and the Cannery. If you get hungry you will find restaurants for all discriminating taste.
After lunch, take the time to visit Pier 39. It has an added attraction of a gang of fun loving sea lions. They have taken up residence around the Pier. Be sure to bring your camera to catch these rascals in action.
One fun way to explore is to use the world famous San Francisco Cable Cars. They leave from a terminal three blocks from Fisherman’s Wharf at Bay and Taylor.
A trip to the "City by the Bay” would not be complete without a ride on one of these wonderful historic cable cars. If you have time to visit the Cable Car Museum at 1201 Mason Street, it is well worth it! The museum has old cable cars and smaller exhibits to explore.
Fisherman’s Wharf goes back to the days of the Gold Rush.Gold fever brought in sailing ships with people from all over the world that would debark at the Pier. The fishing fleets brought in fresh fish for the hungry, soon to be gold miners.
There is a story told about these courageous fisherman. They would sail outside the Golden Gate to fish. When the fog rolled in, and when they could no longer see each other, they would communicate by singing. Their voices brought comfort to each other but at the same time, told them their family and friends were safe. Nothing like today's large modern fishing fleet with state of the art communication. You can still see the fishermen leaving from Pier 45 but you need to be there before sunrise. However, they may not be singing so early in the morning.
For the end of the day voyage back to Sausalito the sunset over the Golden Gate bridge is something not to be missed.
Bon Voyage
