diagram for fuel flow from tank to carburetor on weed eater GTI15T trimmer? I have 2 Lines coming out of tank 1 big and 1 littel Most of those small engines use the same or similar carburetors. The primer bulb should draw fuel from the tank through the line with the filter on it and discharge back into the tank through the open ended line.

Designing A High Flow Fueling System Creates Challenges!

Metro-link was established in 1992 to reduce traffic congestion and improve mobility in Southern California. It has been a resounding success. As with any successful operation of this type, Metro-link continues to expand its services throughout the Southern California area.

Metro-link connects Los Angeles with Orange County, Riverside and San Bernardino Counties in Southern California and carries more than 38,000 passengers daily. As of December, 2009 it served a total of 55 stations on 388 route miles throughout Southern California.

When Metro-link needed to expand their mass transit system to the Inland Empire in Southern California, they recognized the need for a high flow fueling system as well as other local services. The search began for a contractor with the experience to meet their need.

MJK Construction, Inc. was selected to do the job because of their reputation for high quality performance and reliability. MJK Construction has a 20 year history in above ground storage tanks and underground storage tank installation and removal. They are also experienced in environmental construction and clean up.

Designing a high flow fueling system for this facility presented several challenges. Due to the proximity of the proposed fueling system to haul routes, property lines, overhead high power lines, existing and planned underground utilities, and location of rail tracks, the work area and placement footprint for the fueling facility was severely restricted. Further challenges to the project arose as a result of conflicts between existing state and local regulations and the projects needs. While existing regulations are more applicable to lower flow fuel systems, and state approved components are also geared to the lower fuel flow systems. MJK staff was required to meet with local agency representatives and speak with state agency representatives to resolve these conflicts.

Final challenges resulted in the unavailability of system components which would accommodate the large diameter piping required to meet the high fuel flow system requirements. MJK was up to the challenge of completing this project.

MJK installed shoring to facilitate work in the restricted area, designed and built a multiple tank storage system combined with high volume pumping equipment to supply remote fuel cranes necessary to fuel the rail equipment. MJK's staff met with local agency representatives and spoke with state agency representatives to resolve the conflicts in the regulations. MJK worked with local manufacturers to design and develop the specialized components necessary to complete the project, proving again that no challenge is too big to overcome.
