Extended Length

Is an extended length in my period dangerous? I had surgery in Jan and the nurse told me to expect a period soon and it would be bad because of the morphine. I was on morphine for three days and only took pain meds for the next two weeks as needed so i haven't had a pill since mid february. i did not have my period till the end march and other than cramping it last four days like ususal. i had another one on time in april and it ended four days later then a week after that i began a heavy period and have not stopped for 3weeks I've been getting really dizzy randomly like i have had to much to drink and i'm always tired. My period has never gone over a week and other than skipping a period after the two times i had sex i'm very regualr ... this is beginning to worry me... its very heavy and tons of clots every day. Its been this constant for three weeks. This is unusual. Please see a doctor immediately.
