Could somebody please tell me how to retrofit a fuel injected gasoline engine to make it run on hydrogen.?
Lets take the problem of producing cheap hydrogen out of the equation and focus on making the engine run on hydrogen. On my previous question somebody told me I need a propane carburetor like the one use in propane fork lifts. Another one said I need a porcelain block engine, stainless valves, stainless piston rings, stainless compression rings, stainless pistons, stainless piston arms, stainless crankshaft, stainless spart plugs. This all means that when hydrogen burns its converted to water vapor and it will corrode all the internal parts. What I need to know now is are those parts commercially available at a local auto parts store. Does anybody know how much would I need to make this happen. How is it that a lot of people are claiming they have no problems making their engine run on hydrogen and they did not change much like changing almost the whole engine. How did they deal with the problem of the water vapor washing away the oil that lubricates the internal parts?
You do need a gas injector, not that hard to find if you can get passed all the spammers sell kits to run your car off of water, designed to use hydrogen. You might be able to use a propane conversion kit to convert an engine. Some kits will let you run either propane or hydrogen. Hydrogen has some special requirements over running on propane. Hydrogen is very susceptible to pre-ignition so special care is necessary to avoid backfires and such. Hydrogen is also much tougher on injectors than carbon fuels because it's much drier (it doesn't carry as many lubricants) and leads to faster wear on the injectors. So the injectors are very close to the intake valve to help prevent backfire.
No you don’t need a porcelain block, stainless piston arms, etc. Yes hydrogen is converted in to water vapor, but so is gasoline, if the engine is allowed to warm up you won’t have a problem (just like a gasoline engine).
Here’s a link to someone who did it.

It’s not cheap but here’s another link http://www.hydrogennow.org/links.html
And it might get you going in the right direction.
Oh before I forget, you're doing this on an older car or truck right? The electronics on a modern car or truck probable won’t like hydrogen and could give you a lot of problems, but if you’re working on a pre-computer engine you should have too many problems.

The Benefits of Butcher Block Kitchen Islands
If you are someone who loves to cook, you should look into butcher block kitchen islands or kitchen work tables. As all great chefs know, to prepare a fresh meal you must have as much control over your ingredients as possible. If you grow your own vegetables in your backyard and go to a butcher for the freshest cuts of meat, you are on the right track. This style of shopping can produce the most delicious results, but it also requires quite a bit of work. You have to go out to the garden to pick your produce daily and get to the butcher shop before the best cuts of meat are already gone. While most people may opt to pay more for pre-cut vegetables or meat from the supermarket, you lose some of the taste. In order to do the chopping yourself, however, you need a proper work station. Embrace your inner chef and purchase a butcher block for your kitchen.
A butcher block consists of several thick hardwood strips glued tightly together. These butcher blocks can be various sizes but are generally smaller than kitchen islands that have stainless steel or marble tops. They are designed with an end grain configuration, meaning that they are very easy on your knives and are resistant to gouges. Therefore, it not only helps keep your knives sharp, but also allows your butcher block to stay in great shape even after several years. The non-toxic oil finish on the surface of the wood block is great for food preparation. These blocks are easy to clean and disinfect when you are done using them for the night.
Butcher block kitchen islands also fit in with any kitchen décor. These islands can be small, simple blocks of solid wood with wooden legs but they can also be larger with stainless steel legs if that better complements your kitchen's design. If you need a place to do your meal preparation and you are tired of having very little counter space and using a cutting board, invest in a butcher block for your kitchen. You do not have to be a professional chef to understand how helpful this tool is and you will love how much easier it makes preparing tasty meals!
